Teeth being extracted-may need braces to pull perm teeth up??

I have to get to baby teeth pulled out [idk when]

Both the dentist and the ortho said that i need them pulled out.

I guess they are begining to fuse with the bone

The ortho siad he might want to send me to an oral surgeon and have the teeth pulled and the same day put braces on.

When i was younger i had a pallet widener, and a pallet expander (different)

the dentist also said if the perm, teeth didnt move up by themselves, he wants to put braces on top and bottom with a spring to pull the teeth up. My teeth are perfectly straight, its just the two baby teeth.

i feel like the dentist and the ortho should wait until the baby teeth fall out. But they think otherwise.

what would you do? and is this normal?

dentists and orthos answers PLEASEE

all your baby teeth should have fallen out by the age of 13 or so. if you are well past this age it is possible the teeth will not fall out on their own, especially if the dentist sees them fusing to the jaw on the x-ray.

i would do what my dentist recommended. however there is always a 2nd opinion.
